Accessible Vehicles
Rear-entry Van – This is the most economical van option due to less-complicated conversion process. Rear-entry vans are for users who will only be a passenger in the vehicle.
Side-entry Van – These vans offer the option of passenger or driver for the user. Due to the ramp opening on the side, this must be kept in mind when thinking of parking.
Dual-entry Van – These vans have both rear and side doors.
Driving Aids
Hand Controls – If range of motion in the feet is an issue, hand controls allow you to control the foot pedals with your hand. Simple to install, they are easy to use but will not obstruct those who don’t need them.
Spinner Knob – This is a very versatile steering aid for those with limited dexterity, range-of-motion, or grip strength. A quick-release mechanism allows it to be removed when not in use and installation does not damage the vehicle when removed.
Passenger Aids
Swivel Cushion – A swivel cushion makes getting in and out of the car much easier. Two fabric discs rotate over each other reducing the normal friction that would happen.
Transfer Handles - Easy-to-use transfer handles slip into the door's existing lock striker to provide extra support when getting in and out of the vehicle. No installation is required.
